About Us

The EUPRO Bureau acts as a highly specialized niche player for the purpose of intensified cross-border networking. The institute, in the legal form of a nonprofit association, sees itself as a catalyst for the interconnection of export-oriented, knowledge- and technology-intensive companies from the secondary and tertiary sectors on the one hand, and partners from public administration and academia on the other hand.

EUPRO’s tasks lie primarily in the cross-border development, implementation, and management of projects within Europe as well as with partners outside the European Union. Networking activities take place mainly on the basis of continuously maintained personal contacts between network partners and are supported virtually.

The institute operates its own data hosting and is involved in documentation, communication, and policy consulting as well as in training in the field of European and international cooperation, including all interface-related topics. Specifically, EUPRO implements the following activities:
(a) Networking of technology carriers with knowledge-intensive service providers and research institutions;
(b) Development and implementation of Technical Assistance, Governance, and Capacity-Building projects;
(c) Conducting (Austrian, European, and international) application, contract, and program research activities;
(d) Setting up and operating databases as well as developing other intellectual assets;
(e) Designing and realizing tertiary curricula.

Identifying such elements of networking-intensifying strategies and implementing them in (public–civil society–private) partnership in order to develop the resulting value-creation potential—this is the raison d’être of the EUPRO Bureau.

All activities share an entrepreneurial mindset, procedural excellence, and a strong practical orientation. This goes hand in hand with the intensive involvement and participation of suitable Austrian and European partners of any provenance, while upholding the principles of academic integrity and nonprofit commitment.
